We are looking for a skilled communications specialist who has a passion for storytelling and an eye for detail. Under the direction of the corporate communication manager, they will support our award-winning culture by developing and executing effective employee communication strategies and assisting with daily production of news and feature stories on our company intranet. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative with a knack for building relationships. A cover letter and writing samples are required for all applicants. 

Your role:

  • Support CHG’s short- and long-term communications initiatives 
  • Create and manage content such as blog posts, infographics, digital signs, web banners, videos, e-newsletters, email messages, FAQs, talking points, and in-person presentations 
  • Collaborate with executive leaders, department directors, managers, and business partners to meet the communication needs of our people and programs 
  • Provide executive-level support and communications coaching; advise on communication tone and messaging 
  • Lead content development and employee engagement drivers for executive-level town hall events 
  • Manage communication projects and content calendars; track all deliverables, ensure assignments and next steps are understood, and meet deadlines 
  • Assist with video and photography needs 
  • Represent corporate communications on cross-functional teams 

Your qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven ability to conceive, develop and execute strategic communication plans and tactics 
  • Strong interviewing and information-gathering skills 
  • Fluent in various digital marketing, multi-media and creative tools, including online content management systems, design software, and analytics programs (or demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and software quickly) 
  • Act in a self-directed, accountable way when completing tasks; willing to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently while meeting timelines 
  • Solution-focused with ability to think strategically and creatively  
  • Thrive in fast-paced environment 
  • Video editing skills are a plus 
  • Knowledge of AP Style is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of corporate communications, publishing or PR experience and substantial writing experience, e.g., newspaper/magazine articles, blogs, corporate newsletters, press releases, marketing materials
